He is currently licensed to practice in Texas and Pennsylvania and previously was licensed to practice in Maryland (1987-2004) and the District of Columbia (1988-2005). At the federal level, Mitch is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Fourth and Fifth Circuits, and District Courts in the District of Columbia, District of Colorado, District of Maryland, Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Mitch received his BBA in Accounting and Business Honors in 1984 from
the University of Texas at Austin where he served a term as Student
Body President. In 1987, he graduated from the University of Texas School
of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review. Mitch
also has served on the Boards of Directors of the Washington Legal Clinic
for the Homeless and the Homeless Children's Tutorial Project, and chaired
fundraising drives for the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia
in 1993 and 1994.
